Kangabag is an innovative and unique personal bag that you can use as a shopping bag or as a leisure bag.  It is a handmade, 100% cotton Eco-friendly bag made in Tanzania, Africa.  It is made by a community of local woman who belong to an association which promotes women micro-entrepreneurs, organizes training for unskilled woman and helps sustain Tanzanian families.  The buttons are handmade by local craftsmen using recycled materials.

Kangabag is its own pouch! It folds into a small, light-weight portable pouch (no bigger than your hand!), making it easy to carry everyday...everywhere.

The numerous colorful patterns make Kangabag a distinct personal fashion statement.  Distinct indeed!  Crafted one at a time, no two Kangabag are exactly alike, making your Kangabag truly unique and personal.

Kangabag are more than gorgeous!  They are handmade from strong, durable African Kanga and Kitenge cloths.  These are the fabrics traditionally used by African women for dress, carrying their small children on their backs, providing shelter from the sun, and as a tablecloth or decoration in their homes.


Kangabag is available in two colorful and exciting styles & sizes:

Kanga "Shopping" style.  A delightful, two handle fashion bag, it's an ideal touch of class to shopping the aisles of the supermarket!

Kanga "Leisure"  style.  Features a popular single-strap "hobo" style for the beach, going to class or just all-purpose stuffer for 'bumming around' in style!
